We, are Schnitty

This is our story!

When we (Mitchell and Shelby) first met, a few of Shelby’s family members found it hilarious that our names together resembled “Schnitzel.” As a result, our nickname was born! After successfully completing the daunting task of designing, stripping, and converting a Toyota Coaster, we realized there was no better name for our new home on wheels than the one that had already stuck. Thus, “Schnitzel” became the perfect fit!

This brings us to the present day. Right now, we are living and traveling in Schnitzel, where each day brings new experiences and unique destinations. For instance, we’ve already explored incredible places like Exmouth in Western Australia. While there, we discovered the wonders of Ningaloo, from fishing in crystal-clear waters to whale watching at sunset from our very own tinnie. Without a doubt, it’s a place we will cherish forever.
Exploring Western Australia
In addition to Exmouth, we have cruised down the breathtaking coastline of the southwest of WA. Driving through winding forest roads, we marveled at the natural beauty surrounding us. Afterward, we embarked on the iconic Eyre Highway, traveling from West to East. Along the way, we stayed overnight on the spectacular cliffs of the Great Australian Bight and crossed the vast, open expanse of the Nullarbor Plain.
Venturing into South Australia
Moreover, our journey led us to remote South Australia, where we lived among the rugged landscapes of the Gawler Ranges. This unique region, with its rolling red-dirt hills and abundant wildlife—including kangaroos and goats—offered a raw and unforgettable glimpse of the Australian wilderness.
